My husband and I found out earlier this year we would have to do IVF (no IUI or anything) and are hoping to start later this summer. We live in Norristown, too, and go to Abington! Your success brought a smile to my face. Seeing other people go through the fire and come out the other side gives so much hope - even though I know it may not be us. Anyways, congrats, and I hope the pregnancy is going well! - MJMarilynJanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08300564956066954996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4792473402482801198.post-55072198582653803012014-05-19T12:35:24.080-07:002014-05-19T12:35:24.080-07:00Congrats!! We had second opinions from the Sherr institute and RMA of Philadelphia. Both were awesome. Most agreed on our problem and generally had similar ways to treat it. The only difference was the other clinics wanted me on a different type of medication protocol but they admitted it was a shot in the dark....it wasn't proven to help. They kinda all agreed on similar treatment with the exception of the Sherr Institute. I tested positive for natural killer cells and with them would have likely gotten treatment for that. At Abington I didn't have treatment for it and still got pregnant so I'm not sure if it was just luck or the natural killer cell thing is a bunch of BS. If this cycle failed I would have 100% changed clinics and tried treatment for it. I'd try ANYTHING. Even though I had some issues with Abington, I was familiar with the clinic, their hours and protocol...changing up places would have added waaaay more stress than I needed. Not all the doctors had the best communication or bedside manner but nonetheless were still great doctors.....I realized I didn't have to like all of them for them to be great doctors. All in all I feel like I made an informed decision because I got 2 extra opinions. If we did need a third try I would have changed clinics. You made me feel normal. I also was one who was extremely sad at hearing of friends pregnancy and birth announcements. It made me feel a little less guilty and miserable about myself knowing that this was an emotion felt by others in this struggle. Thank you for this blog, it has been incredibly informative and emotionally helpful! Best of wishes with your pregnancy and future family that has your husbands smile and your eyes!<br />Fellow expecting momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15640098371542872229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4792473402482801198.post-58059663899933784682013-11-15T15:55:02.544-08:002013-11-15T15:55:02.544-08:00Congratulations....I agree with the other comment;...Congratulations....I agree with the other comment; please keep us posted!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4792473402482801198.post-68608752151023747222013-11-15T10:16:22.535-08:002013-11-15T10:16:22.535-08:00Congratulations, I have been following your blog. ...Congratulations, I have been following your blog.
